Hi everyone, I'm 27 and have been living in the US for around 5 months now, (green card holder)
when I arrived I was added to my fiancées accounts as an authorized user, I applied and was instantly declined with chase, bofa, WF, US, TD and Barclays.
i was approved with Apple GS for 6,500
And capital one for 300
i opened a checking account with chase and deposited 5k into the account and somehow I received the originally declined CC in the mail with a 2100 limit, I also applied for secured with discover and US bank.
discover approved and withdrew the funds from my checking,
us bank sent me a message that they need to verify some info before approving me and will update me. A few days later I received the card with the secured amount that I requested and I have since used the card and paid for 2 cycles, however they never withdrew the funds, does this mean that my account is unsecured? I wanted to ask the question here before I ask the bank.
