Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

I am looking for 0% intro APR balance transfer cards for at least 12 months or more. I have a fair credit score in the 630s -670s across all 3 bureaus. So far I only found one card called the ABOC Platinum Rewards Card for 1 year. Are there any others that I could be approved for? I'm sure there are ones that aren't very well known.

- Super Cash: Limit varies based on debit balance - doesn't show up in accounts anymore though on CRs.
- Zolve: Shows up but have not set up yet as no money has been put on the account.

Re: Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

I would suggest that you check for a prequal with Discover and/or Citi.

If your TU 8 score is 660ish, you might nab an 18 month zero percent deal from Discover.

04/01/24 Fico 8: EX 763, EQ 799, TU 783.
Fico 9: EX 756 03/13/24, EQ 790 02/04/24, TU No idea.

Zero percent financing is where the devil lives...

Re: Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

OP

What are your 3 FICO scores, and your individual and aggregate UT? How many inquiries in 6/12 months? Something is holding your scores down and if any baddies, a 0% APR might be a little difficult to get.

Re: Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

My TU is 671, Equifax is 653, and Experian is 631. For inquiries within the last 2 years, Exp is 25% w/ 2 inquiries (both in 2018). TU is 26% w/ 6 inqui. (only 1 this year) and Equifax is 25% w/ 1 inq (2018).

I also found these cards from UW credit union with 18 month intro apr but it doesn't say anywhere what kind of credit score is needed to be approved with them so I will call them tomm.

Re: Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

Just to add, ABOC is somewhat conservative and those scores + overall profile may end up with a declined application.  Just something to keep in mind when shopping around for BT CCs.

Re: Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

I decided to apply for the UW Visa Credit Card that had the lowest interest rates and 0% blanace transfer APR for 18 months. I did that yesterday and I'm awaiting a decision. One more question, they had a comments box in the application. Should I have put that all my open accounts have been paid on time? All I put was that I was looking forward to receiving this card. Should I contact them to tell them that or is that already known when they did the hard inquiry?

Re: Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

OP, I’m wondering why you took the plunge after being told they were a conservative lender? Did you check to see if you had a prequal for a Discover card?

EDIT: Oh, is this a different card?

Re: Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

No I didn't but I did just now. I'm happy with my UW Credit Card selection. The Discover pre-qual gave me two options. The DiscoverIt Cashback and DiscoverIt Chrome. None of those cards offers a 0% intro APR for any length or at least not based on my credit score. So I'm not going to even bother applying for those. Says here in fine print:

Intro Balance Transfer APR is 10.99% for 6 months from date of first transfer, for transfers under this offer that post to your account by December 10, 2019 then the standard purchase APR applies. Standard purchase APR: 24.99% variable.

Oh yuck. I think that’s the worse Discover intro offer I’ve seen.

Re: Intro balance Apr Credit cards for fair credit range?

Did UW approve you and did you burn them in BK?

I burned them in 2017 and not sure how long their waiting period is.

Citi chase and BoAt I burned too so I can't get their cards. I loved uwcu when I was with them
