JCrew/Comenity CLI request resulted in HP. Is this new?

As topic suggests, I just got a notification from CK about a HP on my Equifax report which has me so mad. While I did get a $1K increase, it was not worth a HP to me.

I have always had SP CLI's on my JCrew and Overstock accounts, and infact just got a CLI on my Overstock CC a couple of months ago; no HP.

Is this a new thing with Comenity?

I also got a sp cli on a comenity card a few months ago but i was told recently that comenity changed their policy and now a cli request is a hp

Yes - several members over the last few months reported that their CLI request unexpectedly triggered a hard pull.

Well I guess I won't be asking for CLI's from them anymore; I've plenty of exposure with them. At least it wasn't a HP AND a denial lol

A far cry from the days when people use to get infinite CLI's by phone from the Comenity "robo lady".

I always called Comenity for my CLI  ( on a Toyota Visa card )...I was always told it was / or would be a soft pull until the last few months.

The last three times I called,  they said it would be a hard pull.... not a soft pull, so I backed off from having them do that.

Interesting how a company that hasn't upadated or reported my file... yet they now want to do a hard pull

  I can remember the days when people with Comenity store cards got multiple CLI's in the same phone call with RoboLady
