What i mean with store cards its better to have a solid foundation of good cards from major banks and/or credit unions instead of those who apply for 5-10 store cards yet they dont even have a Cap1 or Discover card in their line up. In a mad frenzy to get every store and sub prime card just to get a usable limit. A Home Improvement card or Electronic/Entertainment based store card makes sense, im more so talking about someone who has a $8000 Victoria Secret or Macys card lol

I agree. I got 1 store card... Kohl's and have no plans to get any more because I've built a solid foundation of good cards from major banks and credit unions. As far as rebuilding quickly goes what I've done is about as good as it gets.
Cap One and Discover aren't in my lineup because they were both burned in my Ch 13 and I'm letting the dust settle. It doesn't matter honestly because I don't need their cards to get where I'm going.
Gotta admit, Clarity was a new CRA name for me as well. Pulled my report and there are 'inquiries others can see' well over 3 years old... A brief scan of their website and downloadable how to read guides but none of them identify how long things are there, are shown, etc.

Some store cards do have a place, whether you're rebuilding or have great credit. To add on to my previous post... this is pretty much it.
I'm not a store card hater by any means... I do think some have a place... but most don't once you have a solid lineup of cards.
I am ruing that I applied for Amazon and BB store cards, I'd rather have proper versions, but no option for BB, can't choose.
Weird as most times Best Buy does give the option to pick the store card or Visa. Not everyone picks the Visa either
Most times? How many times did u apply for the card 😅 Couldn't choose in my case, apped on line

'According to Best Buy, when you apply for a card, you are first considered for the My Best Buy Visa Platinum (open-loop, no annual fee). If you don't qualify, you're then considered for, in order, the My Best Buy Credit Card (store card) and finally the My Best Buy Visa Gold (with annual fee). '
