So, I took a stroll outside the garden fence last night and applied for four cards that looked useful and appealing to me.

Citi Simplicity...  (21 month 0% BT offer).  Denied.  I'll wait for the letter.

DCU Platinum... went pending...said that they would be in touch...called me today to tell me that I was denied due to "excessive unsecured credit."   Can't argue with that.  Might have joined the $300k club with my two approvals.

Navy Flagship.  Approved $11k  ($500 SUB, plus BT offers early in the calendar year!)

PenFed Power Cash Rewards Signature, approved for $20k.  (Almost always has BTs available...)

Citi and NFCU pulled Trans Union, DCU and PenFed pulled EQ.
