+1.
I would personally recommend going to a Bank of America branch and applying for the 123 cash rewards card, It was my first card, so it holds a special place in my heart lol. I was denied given I had 0 credit history at the time but was able to put $500 down on the card to make it secured, after the 12 months they deposited the $500 back into my bank account and then tripled my credit limit. You would stand a pretty good chance given your 700+ score though!
Plus the rewards are pretty cool too so you would be earning cashback at the same time as trying to improve your credit score. 3% back on gas 2% on groceries and 1% on everything else. Earning an extra $10-$30 a month depending on your spending is awesome. Something the CapOne cannot do for you.
Keep up the good work, it will pay off soon, I started building credit just over 18 months ago and I already have all the dream cards I wanted at the time of starting.
If you havn't app'd yet I would say not to apply for anything. If you wait 3 months you'll see those offers start to land on your doorstep. The longer your AAOA grows without a new inquiry the more likely the approvals become and the higher (albeit not by much) starting limits you'll receive. 6 mos is not very much but if you add another card your AAOA will be decimated for a while.
5/3 Bank is not as well known but they will give you a secured if you open an account with them. I've never used them but have heard goos feedback from thsoe who have. From what I have been told they will graduate you to a regular card within 18 months. Again, just secondhand info, but worth a try.
good feedback, sorry - typing too fast before I head into a work meeting!
Well I could not help myself I applied for a cap one Quicksilver and Discover It and was denied by both companies.Feeling bad now trying to get a second credit card.
