I apply for macys and it shows a message with a ref number and ask me to call.

I call and the lady ask me some questions and told me that my application is in process and I will need to wait 7 - 10 business day

Is that good or bad?

If you talked to someone and they still gave the 7/10 day spiel, its sounds like a denial.
