Discover has been great to me. Open in mid 2014 at 5k and has grown to 28K trade line. I can't complain. Amex just bumped me to 25k from 15k....

I'm pretty sure it was this one:

During the brief 'gravy train' period, it was discovered that Discover -- formerly a conservative lender -- was giving soft pull luv button CLI's every 16 or 17 days (depending on which of the 2 cycles you were on).
Maybe it was a computer glitch. Maybe Discover was trying to attract attention. I don't know.
In the spirit of trying to keep things updated, I've got some to add.
Since that last update, my 0% APR ended, so I paid off my balance. I have tried a handful of times (my best guess would be around 6 luv buttom smashes since my last post) with no luv at all. Always the letter response "You don't have enough history with current credit limit." So I thought I was off the train, since I'm only putting about $500 a month through the card now.
So last night, I realize it's been a while since the last push, so I give it a go. And BAM, approval for $4000 increase, bringing it to a total SL of $18200. By far still my biggest limit.
So the history is something like:
8/20/17 SL $9500 - Opened
1/10/18 SL $13500 - $4000 CLI
2/18/18 SL $14200 - $700 CLI
_dry spell_
5/15/18 SL $18200 - $4000 CLI
Was a pretty nice increase, but I can't find a rhyme or reason to Disco's timelines. I know I've gotten a CLI decline at least every month, probably twice a month, since my last increase, then out of nowhere right before the 90 day mark, a decent increase.
4K for Disco is a good haul for a CLI.....
Think i signed up at the tail end of the Disco Gravy Train.... Stil had a good few hits of CL with Miss Disco....
Those days were fun

The one rational reason I had for trying to increase my credit limit was that I liked the no-fee, 4.99% interest, balance transfer offer which they regularly offered me.
That has disappeared, so my reasons for increasing my Discover credit limit are now down to one: sport.

I definitely signed up at the tail end. And I've never had even one good hit, even when my score was in the 800's.
