UR sent me a message a week ago told me that if you get their secured card and have a CL of 1500.00 or more, you do not get an increase at the 3 month mark.
To OP, get the secured card and use it well.... I opened mine May 22, with a 5k limit, my BK is 6 months old and the card just unsecured with 5k limit this past weekened. My CLOC is at 90 % and my Cap One is at 80 % so I thought they would not unsecure the card becuse of my high utulization, but they did, so go the secured route if you can and build that history with them.
