It's the amex
Congrats, that is awesome.
I just got my 3rd last month and it was the amex.

@Congrats @mrldp! That is interesting. I thought you had to wait 6 months between cards. So, one in January, one in July, and a third in January--so 12 months. Navy Fed has been switching things up . Cool Christmas gift!
@chickadee... All of my 3 cards were at the 90-95ish day mark as I was asking for a CLI and new card at the same time. No CLI, but new card every time..

If I ask for a CLI and get denied, is it best to app for a new card?
Yes that has been the thing since mid-summer. I asked for CLI turned down on my $2K card and asked for a second card Boom! instant approval for $5.1K which made NO sense to me then or now.

Ok, thanks! And yes, that makes absolutely no sense unless they are bucketing like capital one does.
If so it is a mighty big bucket lol.

My biggest question: Visa or MasterCard? (I'm going to apply for the Platinum card)
I got the go Rewards as my second card. I eat out a lot and get the 3 points per dollar spend on that one.
This is in regards to my post regarding my latest NFCU CLI: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Approvals/NFCU-APR-reduction-and-CLI/td-p/5120950
The most interesting part is this for a DP:
I was fully expecting a HP for my CLI request because it was for more than 25K. My EX and TU were open but I've had EQ frozen since the breach happened. They HP my EX (no problem this was expected) BUT they also HP my EQ, which is frozen. This is the first time I've had my report pulled while it was frozen. I have read it's possible for current creditors to do so but it still surprised me.
This makes me wonder why they will request for some people to unfreeze their reports so they can pull it for a CLI when in fact they can pull it regardless.
