@Anonymous wrote:6/9/2018 Requested CLI on my Cash Rewards (93/3). Request $10,000 increase from $20,000 to $30,000, went to review - HP EQ. As of today 6/11/2018 have not received a response, so I sent secure message. While waiting for a decision, app'd for 3rd credit card, More Rewards Amex and received instant approval - $12,000 sl, APR 16/49% (high but pif) = HP TU.

Congrats. May I ask how long you have had your first 2 cards and when did you initially apply for your second after getting your first?

Called NFCU, the request for CLI on my CashRewards was Declined, letter will be sent with explanation. Does NFCU do recon?
Thank you, I may try again in 6 months, by that time I will be a NFCU member for 1 year.
@Anonymous wrote:I wanted to add some data for those applying to NFCU credit cards. I recently applied for the cashRewards card and was approved for $25k at the lowest 11.15% rate. I received a courtesy letter today detailing the credit pull. As many have stated NFCU pulls Equifax for their credit cards. Based on the score from the letter it appears they used the Equifax FICO Score 5, as it's the only one that matched my previous results I pulled just previous to the application. At the time of my application my FICO Score 5 was 706.
Hope this helps anyone looking to apply.
They 100% pulled Transunion on my new CC application. They pulled Equifax for my CLI application. When I asked the rep I talked to when I asked for my reconsideration for the denied CLI, they confirmed that their policy is to pull TU for new cards and EQ for CLIs.
Obviously that might not be the same in every single case, but generally speaking, that is their normal policy.

In some case if one or the other is froze they "may" use the other, 99.9% tu for new cards and EQ for CLI/CLOC. its been awhile, but there was 2 reports of EX used, but they were over 3 years ago. i think navy is all TU/EQ now, as i have app-ed alot and no EX pulls i've seen
There's a $200 SUB on the Cash Rewards now, but you have to pump $3K through in 3 months to get it. Awful lot of spend for a 1.5% card.
