Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

Hey fico family quick question on navy cli.

Got navy cashrewards on 02/07/20

Recieved card in mail 02/14/20

Due date was 02/15/20

So no spend was reported and no statement for 02/18/20 was created.

Question is since I didn't get my first statement how will 91/3 for cli work for me? Do I need to wait an additional month?

Thanks.

I am pretty sure 3 statements have to cut and 91 days = 91/3  (hard rule)

I'll tag @Anonymous , @AverageJoesCredit and @Anonymous as they can probably confirm this?

They will chime in when possible.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

Thanks, @M_Smart007 oddly enough in app, I can click a link that says statement as of 02/18/20 but when clicked it says " your statement is not available because it has not been generated yet. Please try again later."

Thanks in advance everyone

@Anonymous    91 days starts from the day you were approved, and then the 3 statements.   Just have to make sure that those 2 things have both occured and you should be good to go.

The due date on the 15th was not a full statement, so that is why nothing was generated.

It is mostly a hard rule for the 91/3.   A few exceptions have been posted, but honestly this is the interwebs, so we weren't able to verify them.  I would stick to the 91/3.  The few times i have asked too early, they tell you that in the denial msg and no HP, which some CLI's have been SP as of late

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

Got it thanks @Jago22

That means I'll be at 91 on 05/07/20

And 3rd statement would be on 05/18/20

Definetly have 3 full statement cuts. To me this is way more important than 91 days because its how  they determine history.

Is the "do not meet our lending critea" message still an indication of possible too early?  Been helping my mom out with her credit and today marked 3/91.  Application was met with that and no HP.  The CLI request went to review.

Recall reading that was the case, but also found posts indicating a message clearly stating "too early".  Did find one that mentioned they believed it seemed to be down to the minute for the 3/91 and kind of hoping that to be the case.  Thinking I may have jumped the gun and done it too early in the day or possibly a day early since she apped for the first one technically late night our time, but early morning EST.  So technically I had her app for the 2nd one about 20 hours too early if that be the case.

So, update.  I reapplied for her tonight/this morning and minimized that browser window, while focusing on her email account to see if any notifications went off.  About 5s later, WH comes through with an inquiry.  I swap over, still spinning.  At this point I'm thinking no soup for her!  Hurry and minimize it again.  Wait some more and maximize it....

(wish I would have taken a SS for the post before I let the tab time out.  Shall wait and see if an email is sent to her about her approval and if so, I'll get all fancy with a SS.)

I tried the CLI again, but got 24 hour.  Don't think I should have done that, but she got no kind of communique that the CLI was declined.  Typically I don't neither.  I either contact them and inquire or wait for the letter.  Out of all of mine, think I've received 2 notifications for denials out of like 20ish and only been notified about 2 of my 4 approvals.  So why I kinda went ahead with the CLI request again.

So yeah, was too early doing it.  Can tinfoil hat on whether it's "91 days to the hour" as I've read one poster suggest or because of the time of day I did the first one, being today here and tomorrow there.  Seems like it was the former though to me.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

I've never seen this mentioned and few search results I read, didn't seem to focus on this exact scenario - just AU in general.

Has anyone ever added another NFCU member as an AU to your NFCU card?  There's an option that you just enter their access number and bday.  I'm sure it's definitely to auto populate the information, especially since I went to like step 3 and that's what it was doing.  My question is, does it also link your card in their account or something?  Like if I were to add her as an AU on my card, will she then have my Amex show up in her account with stats/info or something?  Or is it purely just to obtain the information of the AU more easily for you?
