Curious - what does that SUB usually entail?

Recent ones have been 50,000 bonus points for $4K spend, 1 point = $0.01.

How long does one have to make that $4K spend? Hopefully its more than 3-months, but something tells me no.

Typically, they are within 90 days of the account opening

It's CLI request time for my cashRewards card. should I just ask for $4k since that seems to be the "Covid max" or should I ask for more just because?

Go ahead ask for more, be the 1st to break the 4K wall! Lol.  My last requests, I asked for 8K once and 6K the other time. Received 4K the 1st time and 2.5K the second.

Good luck and let us know!

I gotta agree, shoot for the stars, so you can reach the sky, and if you make the stars that’s better yet!

Re: Navy Federal UPDATED CLI and 2ND ACCOUNT THREAD

Valentines Day is my 91/3 so earlier this morning I went and did an app for the More Rewards Card (I was going to wait until June when my 6 months 0% interest ended and just request the CLI for my Rewards Card, but figured I'd give it a try)  Within minutes I received an email stating that I had been approved for $23,300 @ 12.99% APR.

I then proceeded to request a CLI via the app.  It was pretty early in the morning, and I mistakenly thought the field to enter the credit limit was for the amount that I wanted it to increase rather than the total credit limit amount requested.  I should have realized it when it kept saying, "amount must be more than $25,000" (my SL) however with it being super early, I was thinking "oh I don't want to ask for something as large as a  $25,000 request knowing that NFCU has currently been giving a $4000 increase.  I thought it was an error with the app, so I just went ahead an submitted for $25,500.  When I woke up later this morning I realized what I hadn't at the time, and went back to the app and submitted the total amount I wanted (somewhere in the $33,000...just to see if I could break through the current 4k wall)  I did notice that there was a new amount showing in the CLI request area of $25,500 but this new amount is not showing in my main Rewards Card  Account Management page)

My questions are 1) Since I submitted the $25,500 amount will that be what's approved and I'll have to wait 6 months to request a new amount?

2) Should I just wait and see what happens and see if the 2nd /correct CLI request amounts gets approved  or go ahead and call NFCU to explain what happened

So overall my approval for the More Rewards card was a Valentines "sweet deal" however this CLI might end up being "bittersweet" if I only got the $500 increase through poor attention to details.  Thanks for any info you can provide

First of all, congratulations on a massive CC approval!

Secondly, sounds like you may have accidentally requested a $500 CLI?

I've almost done that, If you try to request to quickly you may put the wrong amount in not realizing.

Re: Navy Federal UPDATED CLI and 2ND ACCOUNT THREAD

Thank you!  I'm going to use it as my daily driver (and use my Rewards Card for anything that only counts as 1%)

Yeah I wasn't paying attention and it's exactly what I did (request$500 rather than my intention of request a total credit limitof 33,500 from my SL of @$25,000  (just to see if I could break through the current $4000 wall)

Do you think it still has a chance of getting approved for the limit I wanted?  Or will I just have to accept and wait for 6 months?

Send them a message.  I have read about a secure message but am not familiar with it.  Explain what happened in just a few sentences.

Mention that you want a $5000 credit limit increase or whatever you choose.

Re: Navy Federal UPDATED CLI and 2ND ACCOUNT THREAD

PS, thanks for posting that.  I will be requesting an increase in a week or so and will be aware of what I need to input.

That of course is if I do not forget.

As @Falcon9  suggested, sending them a message from the app or website explaining your situation could yield positive results. Couldn't hurt.

Good luck, let us know what you decide!
