Since I accepted the PCR offer and got the card, Penfed has been sending me more-or-less weekly preapprovals for a $15k new car loan, cheerfully disregarding that I already have a $10k used car loan with them on a vehicle I'm quite satisfied with.

Every credit union I belong to keeps telling me I'm preapproved for a car loan... which is quite annoying since it's the one credit product I don't need, having just bought a new car last year.

Apple FCU hasn't pestered me with preapproved car loan offers, at least not yet; I've been with them for just over a month. I did get a generic loan offer flyer from them several days ago ("We have millions to lend!"), though.

Same here. Never seen any pre-approvals or offers other than what you mentioned. I have had their promise card for a year and my NG score is over 150 points higher than when I applied for the promise. I do have one old medical collection with zero balance but it was there when I got my membership and promise card. The promise was after a recon.
