Question- synchrony marvel 2 HPs!

I applied for the Marvel MasterCard with Synchrony on August 1st, and Got the 7-10 day message. I called in the same day to check the status and was told I was denied. No biggie, I moved on. Well, I got a notice from credit karma today that said there is a new inquiry from Synchrony with today's date on it! Funny thing is, the one from August 1st was already there- it registered the next day. So now I have to Inqs showing. Does anyone know why, or have any experience with Synchrony pulling two reports for one application?! I did nothing to cause the second one... should I dispute it if need be?

Probably just a glitch, call them ask for supervisor and explain what happened they will have it removed. If you have any issues just dispute it. They have really good customer service IMO. 

 

After call... Call the recon line and ask to be reconsidered using HP from Aug 1st. If your balsy do it when on phone with supervisor.

The rep I just spoke to looked at my account history and it shows only the pull on Aug.1st, so she recommended I call the credit bureau.
(It was TU both times.)

I guess I'll give it a few days and see if one of them goes away; one time I had two BofA pulls magically combine, and they were like a week apart.

Good luck disputing inquiries. There's a reason you can't do it online: They always say contact the lender. Looks like you're going to get caught in the middle of some finger pointing. Smiley Sad
