Back in 2011, I was an AU in an AMEX GOLD Business Account- that account was eventually charged off and Amex sued the company owner.
I've always been curious, does that mean I stand no chance in having my very own AMEX card? It is worth mentioning they are not in my credit nor have they been since back in 2011 when I was an AU. Thanks
Amex doesn't hold AU responsible for accounts.
I think I read clauses that says "Amex reserves the right to ask for payment from additional card members", although I agree it would be ridiculous if they did go after additional card holders.

Amex has never said that. I happen to have the cardmember agreement right next to me.
