Initial CL: $1,200
Requested CL: $3,600
61 day/181 day CLI: 61 day
@Anonymous Utilization @ CLI: 0%
@Overall Utilization @ Last EX Soft Pull: bearly under 2%
Ratio of Income/(Overall Available Credit) (4 decimal places):
Number of new credit lines opened since opening Amex account or last Amex CLI: 3 new accounts and 1 SP PC
Total $$ value of all transactions since Amex account opening or last Amex CLI: $1,250Okay...somebody help me out here...My 61st day was actually yesterday but I waited until today to make sure. I went online and submitted my request and got the 7-10 day message. My last SP on Experian was on 8/29 and my usage at that time was the above. I chatted into customer service and they said it showed I had been declined but didn't show reasons would have to wait for letter or call into CS so I called in. The rep on the phone said they didn't even show where I had requested a CLI so they went ahead and redone it over the phone with the same result 7-10 days letter by mail. My score when I got the card was 708 and now it is 698 due to the 3 new accounts and the HP's that came with them, but that doesn't seem to be that great of a difference? The new accounts all have $0 balances on them too, but I do have 2 older cards with a little less than 1% on each of them so total util is still a little bit less than 2%. What the heck?!?!?! Is there anything I can do??
Unfortunately, no -try again in 90 days. The three bew accounts -even with0 bal- are not helping. Time, is the key now
Thanks Lexi...do you think I should try again in 90 days or do you think I should just wait the full 180? And if I do will it be from today or the date I receive the letter?

You can try 90 days from the date of denial. I don't see any reason why you should wait 180 days.
I was going to ask same question. My 61 days was july 7th & I was denied. So I can try again around Oct 7th? I will wait till mid oct this time.

Thanks for the help Lexie! Will they still hold those 3 new accounts against me at that time, or will I be good since nothing else would be reporting? Also should I leave my overall util at the 2% range or should I let $0 balances report on everything? I just do the 2-3% for Fico scoring purposes, but I don't know how Amex looks at it.
My 61st day is coming up on the 22nd. I've been looking to stack up on metal/graphite cards . On my list in the Union Bank graphite AMEX card. Will applying for this card before I attempt the 3X CLI hurt my chances of getting the 3X CLI?

Your entire credit profile will be considered. It will not hurt that you have had the card 90 days longer but realistically that really isnt that long. As for the util, I wouldnt worry about letting $0 report. Basically, it's anyone's guess with Amex. Sometimes they don't balk at 3 new ccs but it will depend on the strength of the profile.
