Maybe with these being from the same product line, they let you move limits right away?
It's always been very YMMV actually for when they'll allow credit line allocations. Some can do it before like yourself and others have to wait it out before they go ahead with it. Been evidence of both on this board.
Left the garden way early after seeing prequal on AmEx site. It showed BCE, ED, and the Green card. Wanting to get my foot into the door with AmEx app and approved ED and believe I’m on their version of steps program. I went this route because I did not see prequel for BCP and didn’t want to waste a HP for a deniel.
Reading a few posts, i believe i should wait and not 3x CLI, but rather after the 6th statement increase.
I am most interested in BCP because I’ll be using this card for groceries and gas. Not sure what I will do with MP. Hopefully I can find a use for them.
I heard somewhere that all the Amex credit cards had pretty much similar underwriting. We love BCP and maxed out grocery for this year. Now we are using my plain Blue Cash til year end for grocery.
Question for the knowledgeable in this area. Does Amex consider a credit reallocation a credit line increase? Reason I’m asking is I want reallocate some credit line to a card I will eventually be asking for a 3XCLI real soon and didn’t want that to hinder my chances.

This was something I recall being asked last month and it should not affect it. Here's the link to it just in case you were curious.

Thanks so much simplynoir! Great thread as it covered just what I was looking for. Going to cancel my BCP next year and want to transfer some of the limit over to my BCE in which I want to go for the 3XCI. I do know that hat you can only do a reallocation once every 30 days.
I just pulled my EX report and saw that AMEX did a hard inquiry over 3 months ago - without my permission! I will file a dispute with EX, but wanted to know if this will affect my 61 day CLI request (currently on calendar for December 1)? Given that I just noticed the inquiry, I can hold off until the 2nd week of December if needed. Otherwise, EX has taken the most inquiries of any CRA. If AMEX only pulled EQ or TU, I wouldn't hesitate.
Well, it’s been 6 months since my first CLI request. My first CLI was $2,000 to $6,000. Asked for $18,000, but Amex countered with $15,000. I’m good with it. EX 734 TU 746 EQ 776. Have opened a few new accounts in the last 6 months. My spend has been $600-$1000 each month and PIF. I’m good with Amex now. Any future CLI’s will just come naturally.
Good luck to all and thanks for sharing your info so all can benefit!
