So tomorrow my Everyday card turns 61 days old. I have made sure to keep it in good standing and my scores are higher than when I got the card. I have read the Amex guide on what to do and how it works and I feel confident in that regard but I was wondering how other members who were succesful got their CLI. Did you chat, call, or use the Luv button?
I want the request just to add more cushion to my already low utilization and dont want to wait 90 days after it fails. Any suggestions or success stories?
Luv button.
Gave it a shot. Unfortunately I got the reply that my account had to be 90 days to qualify. Did the timeframe change from 61?
Hmm, did you try to get a CLI earlier?
They didn't tell me I had to wait until 90 days at my 61 days. They just flat out denied it, and kept denying it every time. Finally got one at almost a year. Not 3x though, it was a 2.1x CLI.

Sorry to hear that. The 61 day thing no longer applies, some people have had success at activation and others were denied. Did you attempt a CLI prior to today? Because once you're denied a CLI you have to wait 90 days from the denial. I was denied my first attempt as well. I tried after a month or so from activation and was denied, and then I realized they were using the same pull from when I had applied. My scores were way higher when I tried the CLI compared to when I applied, so I should've waited until they had SP'd a fresh report. When I tried again 90 days after the CLI denial, it was finally approved. My advice is just to wait 90 days from now (unless you requested a CLI prior to today) and then try again.
good luck!!
