Yup, I can see that coming from TRUIST depending on what they're looking at (i.e. percentage of income vs unsecured exposure with all your lenders in aggregate).
Just had that sort of situation with cap1. I tried for a sp cli for giggles since it's been years. Declined for that very reason. My exposure alone with cap1 is about 40% of my annual income. They cited income vs available credit lines as being a no go. I am just under 2.5 times my annual income. As another stated, I'm thinking economic conditions are going to have an effect on credit cards. With all the volatility and uncertainty, I'm sure there will be more scrutiny with some lenders.
Thanks for sharing your story/journey. I have read this a few times and am confused.
Did your Banker suggest you apply for a fourth Credit Card and or for a Loan?

I currently have a HELOC but Truist banker convinced me to apply for the loan.
Beyond Ridiculous
@NoMoreE46
Sorry for the confusion, no just for a HELOC. The beyond credit was few months back.
