Hi all -
I just applied for my first balance transfer card (US Bank Visa Platinum with 0% interest for 20 months).
I have a 700 credit score with zero delinquencies and zero inquiries.
(My score would be higher but I'm carrying a $14k balance on a card with an $18k limit @ 24% apr, so I'm really hoping the balance transfer will help me bring it down.)
I expected to see the status instantly but it says I'll get a letter in 7-10 days. Is there anything I can do in the meantime to help? A number I can call?
Many thanks,
Lovie

You can try calling U.S. Bank Credit Card Underwriting Services at (800) 947-1444 on Monday morning. Unfortunately the 7-10 days notice sounds like a denial but you can ask for reconsideration during the call and they will resubmit your application for another review by an underwriter.

Is this your only CC? If no, what does UT look like on the others?
I would call. When I applied for a US Bank card, I got declined. I called a couple times and eventually it got approved.
