I already called to see if there was an available APR reduction or SP credit increase, but there wasn't anything. I've had the one account for 3 years with no love, and tmy newest is just over a year and I run most of my expenses through it. Not a ton as a college kid but it adds up.
Does anyone know if you can get two CLI's (one per card) off of the same HP, or would that burn two? Trying to pick the best option right now.
I recently contacted U.S. Bank because I did not see any love on my two Cash + cards. Hate to use an HP for a CLI but went ahead and did it; made sure that the analyst made notes that they will only pull once for both cards. That was June 3rd and it reported as one pull and I got both lines increased to 15K; one from 6K and the other from 7K.
Side note, I received a credit alert from Credit Sesame that U.S. Bank pulled my credit on June 17th. That is well after the CLIs went through. Hopefully that was some kind of a website malfunction as it is not reporting anywhere else. I will keep everyone interested posted on that.
So go ahead and ask! Just make sure that they have the analyst use the same report for both accounts. Best of luck to you!
I'm not sure this is still possible but have read if you ask for a CLI under $1500 it would be a SP. Good Luck!

rseria did you call a backdoor number, or just speak to the frontline CSR?
It's good to hear that you had luck doing it! I don't plan to app for anymore cards soon so I thought I'd try get my two to Cash+ if possible. Keep me updated on the HP situation, I'm interested.
I've done some digging and it looks like it is hit or miss if you do a sub $2000/1500 CLI request. If anyone know more it would be appreciated.
I just got a SP increase on my Cash + this week. I went online to pay bill, and there was a message saying "your account may be eligible for an increase." I clicked the link and entered income info and submitted. I got a message that i would get a response in 7-10 days. I have yet to get that letter, but the next day got a letter saying "based on our review of your account, you may qualify for a CL increase of up to $4k."
The letter said to go online to www. Usbank.com/CL or call 1-866-659-6601 to request increase. I called and they had already processed my $4k increase. No HP has appeared. It has been exactly a year since my last CLI, which I got the same way (via message in online account).
It seems like Cash+ 's get all the love. I've never seen any message like that in the 3 years I've had credit with them.
I feel like its probably because I'm a college student and don't spend a lot compared to someone in the workforce. It's just frustrating to see one card just sit there at a $1k limit when I just opened a card last weekend and got $6.3k limit. Thanks for your input though emptypockets!
Hi. I've had my US Bank Platinum Visa for about 5 years. This started out as a 3K secured card. Graduated to a 3K unsecured card (I can't recall how many months I had to keep it secured before I could unsecure it).
About a year ago I received a letter in the mail stating that I may qualify for a CLI up to 4K. I applied for the increase online per the letter suggested, and received only 1K CLI (SP). That was the first and only 'pre-approved CLI' that I've ever received.
Over the past several months, I requested a 1K increase online using the CLI form. I was denied the increase on 2 separate occasions, but no HP.
About 2 weeks ago I decided to freeze my IDA and ARS credit files (after reading these forums). A few days ago I went online and requesed another 1K CLI (I stayed at 1K for two reasons: to see if it would be a SP, and to get the limit up to 5K for a PC).
Amazingly, after freezing my IDA and ARS reports . . . .I was approved for the 1K CLI (SP), which suddenly appeared on my account the day after I filled out the online CLI request form. Today, I called customer service and PC'd this card to the CASH + !!!!!!! I'm very happy!!!.

For the CLIs I did call the backdoor/analyst number. They get straight to the point and made the notes for the one hp increase for both accounts.
Just had the free time to call the CSR to ask whether there was a pull and my whole story about one pull for two increases etc. Of course he is not as savy as myFico members so he automatically said that they cannot do that and that each line would require it's own hp. I stopped him short and just told him to look at my accounts because that conversation was going nowhere.
Both my accounts were increased by using one pull. He even read the note from the analyst that said "custumer requested and we will use one hp to determine CLI for both account"
I have a strong feeling that credit sesame is smoking some hardcore crack becasue nowhere in the U.S. Bank system is there a HP on the second date.
As for the 1500/2000 increases; been there and done that. Just risking a HP for such a small increase is iffy, so that is why I made my HP count (relatively speaking) getting a total increase of 17K across both lines.
Hope that helps, and best of luck on your CLIs.

Congrats. Never got that type of love from them. It was really a love/hate relationship starting with my first cc with them. I think we have worked it out though lol.
I will wait for one of those to appear in the future, but to be honest I'm pretty happy with 15K on both lines and really don't need anymore for personal use.
