US Bank Cash+ questions.

I have been reading all the posts and DP's i can find for the Cash+ card.  I know i have to be 6 months clean (no new accts/inq's) mostly due to still somewhat marginal scores (working on that tho). I just wondered if anyone could shed some light on the other DP's i've read.

1. I have also seen that US Bank uses TU4, which is 684 for me currently, however when i apped a few months ago, and was told to wait 6 months i was hit with EQ/EX double pull.  no TU at all.   I'm sure its the part of the country i'm in, but i was wondering since its EQ/EX was it my 8 score or another version?    I have a recently started banking relationship with them, so hopefully by the time i app, i'll be in a better position.

2. How much (if any) bank relationship did you have to get the card?

Re: US Bank Cash+ questions.

I just got this card a few weeks back and haven’t been impressed. They are inq and new account sensitive. I was approved and they pulled TU 771. They actually don’t use Fico 8, only Fico 4 which mine was 705.

Got approved after it went pending from a pre-qual in there site. Was given a Mickey Mouse limit of $500 (which happens to a lot of people even with 800+ scores). Called and asked for more twice, and both denied for a couple cards I got a a few months ago.

I’ve already taken it out of my wallet and got the $150 as part of the promo. It’s a gamble with US Bank. Probably the most conservative bank I’ve dealt with so far.

Re: US Bank Cash+ questions.

Dunno much about your first question but as for your second one you don't need a banking relationship to get the Cash+ card but what that does allow you to do once you're "in" with US Bank is get the opportunity to get the Altitude card which you can only get once you're a customer. Sort of a restriction they put in place for a very nice card as long as you avoid certain activities using the Altitude card itself.

U.S. Bank pulls mortgage scores for credit applications.  So they will pull TransUnion FICO Score 4, Equifax FICO Score 5, or Experian FICO Score 2.

I apped for their Platinum Visa last year.  A few months later I went in-branch and opened the Gold Package Checking and Savings accounts, then added a Money Market Savings account.  I snagged a $200 bonus for $2,000 in direct deposits in a 3 month period.  Since I was an existing customer there was no fee for the checking and savings account, and they offered me the Altitude Reserve card and their Reserve Line of Credit.  But after thinking it over I went for the Cash+ Visa Signature and I'm holding out for an offer on their Premier Line of Credit.

Yeah they didnt use TU4 for me, which isnt bad at 684, so i'll have to work around that.

I knew that i didnt "need" one to get Cash+, but i was hoping that since i still (at this time) have marginal scores the previous banking relationship might help..  I'm not really in the market for the AR, but it does seem like a nice card.  I have a pre-apporal for Amex Plat, but i dont really need a travel card Smiley Sad

EQ5 is at 666, and EX2 is at 638.  So probably no Cash+ for me for awhile then.  I opened a small savings and put in 300 to avoid the fee, but i'm not sure that will help much for a Cash+ approval going off EX2.   I'm not apping yet as i want to be 6 months clean (accts/inq's) so maybe in that time having the small savings will help

Re: US Bank Cash+ questions.

U.S. Bank is very relationship oriented bank so having  bank accounts with them SHOULD help you acquire the Cash+ card.
