I got cash + for lowest limit 300 then canceled, frankly needed that money lol and also eyeing for bonus cash in unsecured. Is it easy to get? Less than 1 yr and tons of inquiries like me got accepted(ex, eq 700, tu 726). and I see many getting approved parking 5k. thought us bank was hard to get but maybe secured is easier everywhere?
about visa sig, do they really issue lesser than 5k now? that's actually good news for me(i was afraid i won't get approved for that amount regarding thin history and such, so didn't apply for those cards). if they don't approve for visa sig, do they send visa platinum card instead. am asking bc i heard they don't have rental car collision benefit like visa sig. thank u!

You need a LOT of gardening before you would be approved for an unsecured from US Bank. They have a "rule" about denying you if you have opened more the 1-2 cards in the last year.
Like I said in your other thread, you need time not applying for more cards.
Hi @Anonymous I think US Bank is very sensitive to inquiries but FNBO might be another option for you to look into. They give generous credit limits and from what I heard they are not inquiry sensitive. You can also try with a local credit union who might be little bit more easier. As @dragontears mentioned you might want to garden some more unless you are in the real need of another card.
thx guys! @dragontears @Red1Blue i was talking about secured, and i did learn here that us bank is very sensitive about new acct, like 1/12. maybe that's why everybody's applying for secured. i did talk about it with the branch manager in person, maybe i should reconsider and get it reinstated lol, don't need much money for cell phone and gym bills but i did hear that they're reluctant to CLI. being stuck at 300 would be a bit
and yeah, credit union i really learned about here, but as u said, gardening should be wise, it's not like i desperately need it, mostly for gas expense next month(want more than Citi DC 2% lol), and travels maybe later, i did already charge travel expense via various credit cards till May. those BOA cards just look really nice, especially blue travel rewards one 😅
Hi @Anonymous I am confused about your question. If you want a secured card from US Bank pretty much they will give it to any one. Not difficult to get a secured card approved. You can add more depoist and grow your limit. However each time you request a CLI there will be hard inq on your credit report. They normally unsecure the card after 12 months and you might be able to get the cli with soft pull on your card 6 months after being unsecure. I had 2 secured card with US Bank and after 12 months they became unsecure and got my deposit back. In december I applied for 2 more secured cards Cash+ secured $5k and Alt Go secured for $5k. Hoping they will become unsecure after 12 months.
If you are looking for US Bank secured card you can ask them and see if they will reinstate your card. If you are looking for unsecured card which is less sensitve to inquires you can consider FNBO card which also gives generous credit limits. Hope I answered your questions.
@Red1Blue yes, my question was about US bank secured, basically. Thx for the detailed response! Now I know why everybody's getting secured for that popular card, Cash + !
I mean having an essentially saving acct(heard deposits are managed that way?) might not be bad I guess?
I should also look for local credit unions like you suggested, but gotta garden hard! Thnk u again.
@Red1Blue just did FNBO prequal, no offer 😆 gateway card seems real nice! Oh well, back to gardening for now!

Hi @Anonymous Sorry to hear about FNBO. Apple is another soft pull card and easy to get approved. If you already dont have an Apple card you should pre-qaul for it and see if they approve you. Even if you start out with low limits you can get cli on the card every 91 days. It will grow pretty quickly. You can also try shopping card trick at apple store and see if they approve credit card for you. You can always cancel the orders if you dont like.
@Red1Blue really appreciate the advice! Don't have i phone so it's ok about Apple Card. Right now I would like cards for transit, gas, travel, gym, phone bill, so that's why I applied for US Bank Cash +. Or elan card.
Gas: BOA cash reward for March lol, from Apr. Discover cash back kicks in 5%
And although I pretty much paid for travels till May already lol, eventually would like a travel card, CSP would be perfect to pool pts with CFF, but for the bonus requirement, I'm not there yet income wise lol.
For AMEX, BCP would be nice, clicks all categories(gas, transit), but I don't do grocery that much for $ 95 AF.
Those are my goal cards and ultimately premier travel card that grants lounge access 😍 Or hotel card, tired of airbnb-ing wherever I travel lol. Luxury hotel for once 😆
One can dream! 😁
Hi @Anonymous If I remember correctly, I think now you can apply for Apple card on website. You dont need to have iPhone. I could be wrong but I thought Apple changed the application process in the last few months.
