WF Propel World Denied Due To Address Verification (Update: Approved)

Hi,

Yesterday I went into a local Wells Fargo branch to apply for Propel World. This morning I check the status line, and it said the application was DENIED because they can't verify my address. Should I call them or wait for their denial letter? My FICO is 800+ and at 4/24. I have a checking account with them.

Please help. I really want this card

Does the address on your CR matches the address on your application and banking end?

Did you move recently?

I'd wait for the letter before doing anything else.

Just checked CR and WF profile, and they have my current address.

I have been here for about 5 years.

Got approved for Delta Amex and CSP without issue in last 6 months.

I dont know if calling them would do you any good, but I'd try anyway. You already took a HP so might as well. 

If you wish, you can wait till you get the letter, it may provide a bit more clarity. 

Either way, I would not give up quite yet.

Address verification seems to be something that can get fixed easily.

This is my first app with WF. I don't know how willing they are to work with me though...

I would definitely reach out to WF Underwriting to see what the concern was about the address. Maybe it was mistyped or something didn't get listed properly? I've had situations where auto-fill has been my worst enemy at times.

I’m in the same boat with the new Propel card. I just moved recently and used my new address on my app than the one that was on my credit report, so was denied since they can’t verify my address. The solution is to go in branch, talk to a banker and have them fax in 2 forms of address verification like utility bills. Make sure they have your name and the correct address on them. I don’t have that so I couldn’t do it. Also, the CSR on the phone told me that when you go in branch the banker has to call the verification department and have you talk to them from there for whatever reason. They may also be able to verify you over the phone but they said it was hit or miss and I was a miss. Good luck

Thanks for your info. Seems like a relatively easy thing to fix. The hardest part for me is to get P2 to call the bank haha...
