Wells Fargo is stingy with regard to Autograph Journey

Applied for WF AJ, denied.  Received the letter and they state one of the reasons being:

1. "Number of bankcard trades opened in last 24 months"
2. "Ratio of credit bureau trades with a balance greater than zero (we look at the reatio of open and closed credit acounts that have a balance greater than zero in the last 6 months)"
3. "Number of revolving bankcards reported by credit bureau (we look at the nuumber of bankcards in your credit bureau report)"

Has anyone else with a bunch of cards had trouble getting approved for an Autograph Journey?  Or with any product from WF in genereal?  I have since opened banking accounts with them.  Hoping that helps?

@XCaliburBoss  I would stop applying for credit for two years to address  Reason 1 I would reduce the number of  credit cards reporting a balance to address Reason 2

Opening a checking account is not necessarily a helpful factor. IF the checking account is your primary checking account it may help. If it is not it can be a negative factor. Banks may look at your checking account to see how well you manage your money. A checking account that gets little or no use does not help,
