Amex pulls EXperian

Keep in mind that if you already hold an AMEX card, whether charge or credit, core or co-branded, the odds are that it will only be a SP.

I currently have an AMEX Gold and an SPG/Marriott cards. I wanted to do a product change, but they wouldn't allow me and said I needed a new application.

You can only product change within the same family of cards like the charge cards, Hilton cards, or Delta cards. It most likely will be just a SP for the Delta Reserve since you are already a member.
