World Elite MasterCard data point thread

Hello all! First time posting in smorgasbord. I'm not sure if this the appropriate forum for this topic. If not, feel free to move Smiley Happy

The goal is to gather anecdotal evidence, insight, and patterns for possible reasons WEMC are issued over World and Platinum. Any insight or participation is appreciated, and please don't feel obligated to answer anything you consider to be sensitive information! Also add anything relevant that I might miss. Looking for the following upon approval:

1. Income: 120k
2. FICO: 703 EX
3. Starting limit: 4.5k
4. Clean file?: No
4a. What derogs?: 2 paid baddies 4-5yr old
5. AAoA: 5yrs
6. Estimated avg monthly CC spend: 2-4k
7. CC: Citi DC

Again feel free to make suggestions for edits to the criteria. I understand whether it's wemc, world, sig, plat, etc it all spends the same with variations on certain benefits. I also get that everyone's profile is different and ymmv and so on. This is just purely out of curiosity. Thanks in advance!

In my experience when I apply for a card say arrival+ it's only a wemc. So even if you get a 3k approval, it's a wemc. Regular version is issued in world. MasterCard is a lot more leninant than visa is in offering people a signature vs platinum.

Pretty sure all DC's are WEMC now (even low limit).

+1^

My daughter was approved for a Citi DC with a $1k sl and a beautiful WEMC logo.

They automatically converted my year-old $8.5k Double Cash from world to wemc.

Was using a different card for large purchases; only made small dollar (but frequent) purchases with it.

Should be a blanket conversion of all DCs.

Re: World Elite MasterCard data point thread

It might be possible that all new DC cards are issued as WEMC, but mine is still a WMC with the red/orange logo. I've had my DC since April of 2015 and I've been patiently waiting for the change. Regardless, I still find it absurd that some of the W(E)MC benefits are stripped away, such as the flexible spending feature for both levels.

My DC came with 12.99% and a $6000 SL, so I'm a bit surprised that it is taking this long to be upgraded.
