chase freedom application for address verification

I just applied for the Chase freedom and got denied for thin files.  and i called the recon line and this time, the rep aksed me to fax them proof of  address or utility statement. he said it is the easiest way to go to a branch and ask a banker to do that for me. since there is no branch nearby, i have to wailt of the mail and fax the documents needed.

i read some posts about the same situation and some good, some bad. can anybody tell me this is a good sign or not? i just got tense about it,

Could be both bad and good.

As others have said, have some patience and send them the required docs.

I did not have enough patience with Chase.

I got appoved for the Amex PRG in seconds but dont know why chase is so mean!

Chase generally likes to see an avg. of 6 mos. of credit history before giving a card. So it sounds like your file might be thinner than that possibly?

Id take it as a good sign you were not auto declined.  Whether or not its an approval later who knows.  But its a good start

You can use online fax services if you can take a clear photo of the papers you need to send in.  Quicker than mailing em!

(or some computers have the fax program already installed, some phone apps do it as well, but just going online, entering their number and selecting your file is easier)

maybe the main reason is that i just keep the chase checking account for 2months .

cause he streesed that i just opened it less than 60 days. 

coz there is no branch nearby.

maybe i should give them a call later. the mail listing the docs needed has not reached me. when i get it, and see what is needed, then call back. maybe verify over phone or fax. only if they can approve that for me . yeah hope it turn out to be a good sign.
