citi black list?

I settled with citi for about 1/2 of what I owed them 10 or so years ago...so paid 10K and they wrote off 10K. It's been off my credit report for years now.

Is it worth apping for a citi card....or not much chance?

Thanks-

Only way to know for sure is when you apply. Keep in mind that there's always that possibility you may still be on their internal database, but you'd also incur the HP when you apply.

Try their pre-qual.

Re: citi black list?

just tried prequl - and recieved "we couldn't match your records to a Pre-Qualified credit card offer." Just was approved for 7K HSBC 10 minutes ago...So, I'm thinking they have not forgotten.

You can try their Home Depot pre-qual too.

Re: citi black list?

I burned them, did not prequal, and was approved for $8k Costco.

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.

@Anonymous
You can't go off the prequal. I don't get the pre-qualification offers at the moment.
I burned them for more than $100k over ten years ago.
I have 6 cards with them now. You'll never know unless you try!
I thought I'd never be approved by them either. So far, they've never denied me a new CC.

Wow, G! Nice share.

Am I the only one that would like to hear more of that story?

Pretty please ... Smiley Wink
