Is it possible to apply for a new NFCU credit card and request a CLI on an existing NFCU card using 1 HP?
I know they use TU for new applications and EQ for CLI so I was wonderiing if anyone was able to accomplish this through their messaging service or a backdoor number?
CLIs have been soft pulls for the last several months - so yes 😊.
Good luck!!
Yes! .. I done it

Data points show CLIs have been SP. However, always expect a hard pull and be thankful it's not.
To this point, has anyone verified they received a SP CLI with scores under 700 and/or utilization over 29% at time of CLI request?
I think our sample isn't really representative enough to just tell everyone CLIs are all SPs right now, definitely better to say 'expect a hard pull and be thankful it's not'

There is an entire NFCU CLI thread with a number of posts from folks with all sorts of profiles (including very high util and below 700 scores) that have received SP CLIs since December 5, 2019 when the whole NFCU SP CLI thing was "discovered" and the SP CLI has been a consistent, not sporadic, occurence.
As with every other lender, policy can change, without notice, at anytime -- as it did when NFCU switched from consistent HPs to consistent SPs - seemingly, overnight. As such, one should always expect a hard pull when requesting any sort of credit regardless of past experiences or forum posts.
