Imma say you need to go reread my post more carefully, particularly the part about requesting a status check during weekday business hours may trigger an immediate once over.
A Chase application referred for additional handling (i.e. not immediate approval/denial) transitions to 30 day status until it has been reviewed. After review it is bucketed as either an approval, 14 day status (recommended approval pending final signoff) or 7-10 days (denial or needs additional information to review).

This reminded me back then when I get a 30 day notice, I would look for the "backdoor number" if I'm really motivated to get that card. Should I just go to a branch or look for the backdoor #? I haven't done that in years.
If there is a branch conveniently close to you I would go to the branch and bring with you supporting ID like your drivers license, SSN card, passport if you have one, and a copy of a utility bill like a cable/electric/gas/water (not cell phone) bill or a copy of your lease with your name on it that lists your current address. That way if there is a verification issue you'd be able to deal with it right then and there.

I actually ended up calling Chase's Verification/Fraud Dept. Called the # around 7:30AM PST and I didn't have to wait. Unfortunately, the call quality is horrible and the rep I talked to ended up putting me on hold for 30 mins for the next available rep... 30 mins later, someone finally answered my call, which turned out to be just a regular CS.. She then transferred me to another analyst/specialist. Unfortunately again, the call quality is horrible and half of the time I kept asking to repeat herself... I also missed/didn't hear why they didn't approve me in the first place but I think they just need to check that I actually applied since the rep asked for my mobile # and they sent a verification code, in which I had to tell her. After that, I was on hold again for awhile... Then boom, approved for $9.6k SL!
Other than the terrible call quality, I think everything went well!
@CarbonCard I knew it Congrats on your Approval!!! Now you need to make an Approved Listing
