0% promo, APR reduction and CLI Barclay

I called the general customer service line today and asked if there were any offers for an APR reduction. They transferred me and the rep gave me a 17.24 apr, down from 21.24. He then offered me 0% on all new purchases until Sept 2017. Without me asking, he asked if I wanted to check for a SP CLI. I took the $200 offer. Not much of a CLI but overall, great call.

I called this today and had similar luck but mine was just switched, they only lowered my apr 1% but gave me a $4,000 CLI with a soft pull. I was kinda surprised. Good on Barclays

Congratulations! That is a nice CLI and a very nice APR reduction! I just called Barclay's yestereday and got those two things, but no zero APR deal. Way to go!

No problem. I opened the card in June of 2014 with a $1000 SL. I was spending a few hundred abd paying off until this year. I maxed it out and was making a little over minimum payments. Last month I did a BT from barclays to Discover for the full amount so that it would reflect a 0 balance. I think this may have made a difference. I have included my other changes below. All of these changes were initiated by me calling into customer service. Hope this helps!

CLI 12/14  1000 > 1400

CLI  6/16   1400 > 1650

CLI 12/16  1650 > 1850

Apr reduction  6/16     25.24 > 21.24

Apr reduction  12/16   21.24 > 17.24

Whatever you are doing with Barclays ... keep it up. They sometimes seem to be slow to warm up and your on the track! Grat's!!!
