Got the card in late October, and have only had (3) statements. Woke up to a $100 Auto-CLI. Ummm, I should definitely call backdoor/underwriting number, right?
Walmart TU is 652, up from 641. But, a recent lender pull has my TU at 676. Which was about the same time as the new Walmart score.
Btw, I've (2) $15k, (2) $10L, a $6k, a $5k, $3500, $1875, $1500, and $1k CC's, and a $650 Lowes.
(1) paid baddie on TU ($165 utility, 2yrs. old) is keeping my score 79 points lower between Walmart TU and myfico EQ. And 55 pts lower between a lender pulled TU and myfico EQ.
I would call the backdoor number...it can't hurt. I have never had an auto with them but I assume for them to give you one, means they are open to extend it more. Good Luck!
Some never get ANY amount of auto-CLI
I used the card frequently 3-5 times a month and took the MAX cash back option everytime at the checkout. I never did the 4th statement increase the 1st year I had the card. My first increase was only $200 but the next was $550 then next two $900 and $1200. IMO use the card and never carry a balance and take the cash back option there is no fee for that. Cash taken I just turnaround and deposit at the bank which is next door to the store.
Limit went from starting at $700 to $800.
I used the card alot during the holdiays and paid in full at the register as soon as the transaction was not 'pending' anymore on my account. The store is only a mile away.
Since it is GE backed, it should help that I currently bank with GECU (local to me). I have a $3500 VISA ($0 balance) and $8200 auto loan with them as well. I'm also set up with direct deposit. Not sure if any of that info helps my backdoor calling chances or not.
I've got $25-30K in reporting CL's (depends on which one), and 3% utiliz. I have about $37K CL's in cc's that aren't reporting yet.
I'll give them a call in a bit...I shouldn't sound 'ungrateful' I guess. I'm just not happy with their TU scoring to begin with.
Why aren't you happy with their TU scoring?
.....because Walmart TU had me at 641 when a lender pulled TU had me at 676.
Don't we all like whoever gives us a higher score?
Congrats
