Use the phone number labeled "(personal accounts)" in the stickied backdoor thread in this forum. I got an auto 500 CLI this morning and called at lunch requesting another 1500. Took 4 minutes.

I told her that i have other accounts in the $3- $5k range and she kinda chuckled and said 'we don't have limits that high.'
I asked for $1600, btw.

I knew then she was probably the wrong person to be talking to.

She seemed a bit seasoned and maybe outdated, if you will.

The same thing happened to me. I got a $100 CLI and called the same day (didn't know they had given the increase) and spoke to someone In Credit Solutions- they gave me another $200 - from $700~$800~$1000 all in one day. 

All they can say is 'no'.

I got $150 CLI on walmart the day after Target Auto CLI'd me $100 lol.  I've called numerous times trying to get backdoor to increase, but no luck.  :/ Going to wait until the current Walmart Fico updates and then try again.

Try again after normal business hours. Surprisingly, with GE, it's actually better to recon with an "outsourced" credit analyst.

If it doesn't work, wait until after your 4th statement cuts, then try again.  Ask for double - if they don't want to do that, they will counter-offer.

Man 'o man, you people never cease to amaze me...

So, as suggested,  I just called the 'personal accounts' backdoor number and perhaps after hours, 9:30p.m. EST.

I explained why I would like a higher CL and that I feel that my credit is worthy for such increase.   I requested $1600, 2x my current CL, and I was approved.
