Ever since I got my Discover card 17 months ago I've been locked into frequent, but tiny, luv button credit limit increases, each either $300 or $500.
Today I got another one, $300.
So I called the CLI recon number which baller4life told us about. The rep told me the only way they could do better would be if they took a hard pull and a manual review.
Just to clear up my logjam with Discover, I gave her the go ahead for a hard pull.
She put me on hold for awhile, and when she came back added an additional $1000 to my limit.
Was it worth a HP? Yes if it means future CLI's will be better, no if future CLI's are like the past ones.
Congrats on your small SP CLI and your HP CLI.. Personally 1k isn't worth it for me, but each person is different. If you are happy with it than that is what is important.

I'll be satisfied with having taken the HP if and only if it removed my small-CLI barrier. If they revert to small CLI's I'll feel it was a wasted HP.

Congratulations South. Odd they wanted a hp. They gave me more with just a sp.
You're a lot more personable than I am
With a 194k in CL I would have to say it was a waste of a HP.
I'm just wondering why needing a CLI from discover was so important it seems you have enough limits with all your other cards.
Also, 1k could be a sign that you have peaked with open credit.
Good luck.
Congratulations!

baller4life got me interested in playing the Discover gravy train game it's as simple as that... no other reason
