1st Navy card approval with credit under 1 year!

Started building credit for the first time this year after having no score. Approved for Cash Rewards Visa Signature with 15k last night.

Scores: 770

inq: 2

Two cards, youngest 6 months old.

SSL at 8%

2% Utility

AU on DH Navy Amex that he opened in August. I think this helped in getting me a higher limit, as I was expecting much less given I have not hit a year of credit history yet.

No baddies 

DH was also given a CLI on his navy card yesterday, no hp has shown up yet.

Where are you getting your score from?

Experian 3 B monthly, plus Discover and Wells Fargo. Wells is a Fico 9 and they have me in the 780s. My vantage scores are actually a bit lower on the 730s.

Since Navy pulls TransUnion FICO 8; for purposes of data points it might be useful to mention your current TU FICO 8 score.

No one uses Vantage Score 3.0 so they are irrelevant.

Yes, the 770 is Fico 8 from transunion. The EX report I get monthly gives me all three including a TU and EQ update each month. Scores are 770 TU, 776 EX, and 774 EQ

I have a SSL paid down to 8%, which adds about 35 pts!

Still a thin 770, not the ssme as a thick profile 770 Maize.

Congrats Op, this is another great example of Navy being the best. Nowhere else would you find a 15k spproval on less thsn a year of credit. Nurture this relationship, its worth it.
