I have got to stop apping.
After denied for the millionth time for a CLI on my current discover, I decided to check their preapproval tool. It gave me results for both the IT and IT Chrome with solid APR. I figured I may as well try since it will likely be a SP. Keep in mind I've tried this before, and I was denied for too many accounts with Discover! I've had my other Discover for over 4 years, so I meet the requirements to open another card with them. Submitted app expecting a denied but NOPE. Approved with SL of 3,500.
I am so shocked and officially done apping and CLI requesting, haha.
Signature is up to date with DPs.
Results from App/CLI spree in the last week (I've posted about some):
Amex Delta Gold - 1K
AMEX PRG - NPSL
Discover it - 3.5K
Ulta Store - $750
Synch. Amazon increase - 1.2K to 3K
Synch. American Eagle Increase 800 to 1k
Quicksilver - 300 to 400 (before credit steps).
My only fear now is maybe spooking some of lenders. Praying that has not happened, or worse, getting AMEX Financial Review but after years of not apping I had to get it out of my system after boosting my scores so much over the past few months.
I am so thankful I found these forums and have been able to pay down/boost scores. You guys are such a supportive community.
