I applied for a Barclaycard financing Visa a few weeks ago, and to my surprise, was approved for $2000. I immediately called to recon because the Mac I wanted would put my utilization sky high. My $500 request was denied. I recently decided I want to get a different Mac, so today I called Barclay to find out if I could still get the special financing after the exchange although I am outside of my 10- day window. I figured while I had someone on the line, it wouldn't hurt to ask about the increase as well. The rep told me he saw that I had submitted a request previously, and placed me on hold to review my report, came back to the line, and Bam! Approved! I couldn't believe it! I guess I didn't answer the questions correctly a few weeks ago, or maybe I just got a nice guy today. Either way, I am happy with my new limit, and this is still the biggest one I have. Oh and he confirmed I can still get the special financing after the exchange. Winning!
