I first got a Discover card when the CLI "train" was reaching the end of the line. Historically Discover never trusted me with more than a $300 CLI, and even those were few and far between. Eventually I graduated to the @AverageJoesCredit special -- $500 from time to time.
Lately they haven't been too interested in increasing my credit limits at all.
Today, inspired by @Aim_High 's post on a Discover CLI, I hit the 'luv button' and got a surprising $3k CLI. By far the largest I've ever seen from Discover. The same card got a small CLI just two months ago.

For data point purposes, do you mind sharing your recent spending on the card? I think one reason mine slowed down is that I've shifted much of my spending to other cards over the years but was considering giving it a little more attention. I've temporarily sacrificed some rewards on other cards and that has seemed to help get those CLIs when the pipe slows to a trickle.
Congratulations! That is a nice increase. Discover has one more year with me then they're on the chopping block. Zero CLI's, I would love to be on the AJC special. I won't be spending this quarter so I don't see any in the near future.
