@Marz2002 wrote:Greetings and Salutations myFICOers!!!
I just received my 3rd More Rewards card statement and 91 days have past since that Card was approved so, I decided to app for the Flagship card to complete my NAVY FEDERAL CC Trifecta.
I phoned in the app and after providing all of my information to the Ref, she announced that I was approved with a $15,000 SL and a 16.99% APR. I know that's HIGH, but according to the documented credit qualifications for this card, I don't qualify because my TU FICO score is 734 - Good. The published credit range for this card is Very Good to Excellent so, I guess my internal NFCU score helped me qualify.
Next, I decided to request a SP CLI for my More Rewards card. I was warned by 3 different avenues (online, CHAT, and phone call to a Rep) that a HP is now required for a CLI. So, based on the STUMBLING Financial Markets, I told the phone Ref to go ahead and complete my CLI request. I decided at this time that I have the best opportunity for the foreseeable future. Phone Ref gave me the 48 Hour Message. And so, the Wait Clock started!
Fast Forward to this morning - I logged into my account to check for any progress and noticed that $8,000 was added to my More Rewards CL for a new CL of $33,000! My Highest CL of ALL Time!
DPs -
TU FICO8 - 734
AoOA - 7.9 years
AAoA - 2.2 years
AoYA - 2 months
Income - $100K+
UTIL - 3%, from TU Report
PIF all accounts every month (AFTER statements cut) with the exception of approximately $2,400 on my Citi DoubleCash card (still in 0% Promo interest period)
MANY Thanks to my good friend @SFLSpotter9210 for showing me How It's DONE and ALL of the myFICO Posters who have shared their NFCU success stories!

Marzy killin' it! Well done, sir.
Thanks for the GREAT DPs -- beautiful.

Thanks @nuohlac - AGREED!
@SFLSpotter9210 wrote:My good friend a very awesome congratulations 🎈🎊🍾🎉!!! Popping bottles that's awesome celebrating all day. Truthfully who knows the NFCU algorithm cause my TU report is probably not as good as you. It's at 730 Marz with 9-10% utilization.
It very well could be a geographical related position that could be the reason. Maybe some other seasoned myfico can chime in with a reasoning or maybe it's just a ymmv.
Even some others have received 25k with lower income and lower scores who'd thought. But the main thinking process should be you and we all know it's going to grow to the max. 👍.
MANY, MANY Thanks @SFLSpotter9210 my good friend - Having a card with a $33K CL after 2 years of credit rebuilding, starting with a $300 secured card, is humbling. When I started my journey I had no idea that I would see a day like today.
I agree with your comments regarding NAVY's approval algorithm. I want to mention that I have a Savings and a Checking account with them but, I do not bank with them. I use my Checking account to keep tract of SUBs ($550, so far) and redeemed CashBack ($110, so far).
As you have reminded me - the opportunity exists to mightily increase my SL with hefty CLIs over time!
