Needing 0% APR to pay off some cc debt and utilization padding badly, i decided to go all in last night.
All Experian pulls done on purpose with a score of 732 to boot per Experian website.
in order of application:
PNC core credit card: instant approval 7500.
TD cash credit card: 7-10 days message.
Discover it (I already have another for 3 years): instant approval 3000
Bank of America Americard: instant approval 10000
Wells Fargo active cash: Pending review.
I only have a TD Ameritrade account for trading. Used to have a checking account, but closed it over a year ago during a churn season.
Wells Fargo is my primary bank. Wondering if all those inquiries before them will really turn them off.
Current EX score after all 5 hard inquiries: 719.
I am shocked BOA came thru. I app'ed for a business card with them 1.5 years ago and was shut down.
Will update on the pendings. Any tips welcomed. Thanks
Congrats on the app spree! WF can be stringent with underwriting, so it might've been best to app the Active Cash first, but you can always call them and see if they need any info.
Congrats on the app spree! We gardeners can sit and congratulate and be envious lol.
Thanks.
Wells Fargo was literally a last resort for me cos I had no hope for approval with them or BOA. I just couldn't find any other decent Experian-pull credit cards to app for.
I already have a bunch of Chase, Amex, cap one cards.
I'll leaning towards waiting to hear from Wells Fargo before I do anything.
Congrats on the approvals!!! TD and WF are both conservative, so that quick succession may spook them. Good luck!
Congrats on the spree approvals!
Grats to all your new credit and welcome to the board
Update:
Called TD status line: 18885618861 - Declined. Asked for a recon but forgot to ask for reason for denial (silly me). Recon will take another 7-10 days to respond by mail. TD was my 2nd application out of 5. I really thought I had a shot here. Plenty of TD banks where I live, income of 112k, rent 1775, previous checking account and current trading account. Maybe it was my current utilization which is at 16%. a little mind buggling with this one.
Called WF status line: 18009679521 - Declined. For too many inquiries. Makes sense i guess, it was my last application of 5. Asked for a recon, but was told it was a hard decline.
I'll take the 3/5 approvals.
Congratulations on your new credit and enjoy it.
Congratulations and do keep us posted, please 😏
