I just want to share my experience with my approval with Rooms To Go through Synchrony Bank. I applied online over the weekend and was given the 7-10 message, so I tried to call but they were closed. I finally was able to contact Synchrony on yesterday and a nice rep gave me a website to go on to verify my identity. Once I completed that, I was given a code and number to call them back. I called and gave the rep the code they gave me, and he said the application was approved. My SL is only $2200 and I asked to see if I could get more since my furniture was going to cost around $6k. She asked me, so you want around $6500? I told her that would be good. She briefly put me on hold and told me, unfortunately, the $2200 was the max they could give me. I was somewhat shocked because I have over a 700 credit score with TU and no derogatories or lates. Once I saw the card was loaded on my account on the website, I tried to hit the cli button, because I saw where others on this website has done that, but still was denied for $5k. I only can get one part of the furniture on the card but I will have to immediately pay it off to keep utilization down, which defeats the purpose in taking advantage of 5 years of no interest.
