My card started as a secured card with a $500 limit in May 2014.  I did not start receiving increases until January 2018!  My BK13 was discharged August 2016.

May 2014 - $500 Secured SL

Coverted to Cash Rewards card at some point in 2017

January 2018 - increased to $2,300 (HP)

April 2018 - increased to $10,000 (HP)

July 2018 - increased to $17,000 (SP)

I also have a BankAmericard that I opened in April 2018 with a SL of $17,000.

Data Points

Soft Pull Experian - 753

Utilization on card - less than 1%

Overall Utilization - Under 20% (balance on one card only, with 15 months 0% interest)

$80k income

CONGRATS! $500 to $17k... very impressive. 

Have you been using the cc a lot? That is amazing growth in 6mo. My Amex, Chase, and Discover don't grow like that. When I get outta the garden... I may check BoA.

It's my daily driver and the only card I use regularly.  I pay it off before the statement cuts so I haven't carried a balance on it in 2-3 years.

Any creditor you are doing business with can get through a freeze with a SP

OMG @luxeprw9! So happy for you, congrats! 

I remember those post in the BK forum about the $500 limit that refused to grow. Way to stick it out bc it definitely paid off! 😀

Wow. Congrats. I have a BOA card too which i started as a secured card at 300 and then graduated to non-secured and an auto cli of 200. But since then it had been stuck to that limit for almost 3 years now. I don't/cant use the card much because it will then require me to pay the card multiple times in a billing period. Tried to explain that to them but they keep denying me showing multiple reasons. Hope i could get some increase too some day.
