I was denied a CLI back in July 2018 due to BK CH. 7 .. See thread.
Based on some DPs, I knew I had to wait until after my 7th year post BK (Dec. '18) before requesting again. I decided to pull the trigger today on my Amex EveryDay Card... lo and behold:
I hardly use this card due to the higher multiplier on my Gold card. I plan on moving majority of the CL to my Blue Business Plus card.
Some DPs:
- BK Ch. 7 discharged Dec. 2011.
- Income over $100k/yr.
- Amex cardholder since 2007 (5 business cards and only 2 consumer cards both opened Jan 2018 - Amex Gold and Everyday Card SL - $8K).
- Scores in siggy up to date.
- Yes it was a soft pull.
- Still in the garden since Jan. 2018 (Experian score has increased over 60 points in that span).

Now does anyone know how to get any sort of CLI if you’ve included Amex in BK?
I’m 9.5 yrs post bk7. They let back into their graces and gave me the Hilton card last year. I put 16k spend in 10mo onto that card and paid down to 0. Haven’t had any luck getting a CLI, even just $1. They cite “previous relationship”.
They let you back in so that's a good sign that you aren't blacklisted.
Another good news is your CH 7 is about to fall off in a few months or earlier if you file for EE. Try again in 3 months from your last CL request.
