was feeling a bit bored - bad, I know ... was contemplating a CLI increase on my NFCU GO Rewards (been 180+ since last CLI, 22K limit on existing card, and 18L on Cash Rewards, and 15K CLOC so probably at my NFCU limit anyway), but decided to app for a 2nd Amex - instant approval on BCP for 14K - currently have a 28K limit on my BCE - EX FICO 8 of 771 (overall util of 4%) - $200 credit back for 1K spend in 3 months - will just put my groceries on the card, and collect the 200 - will try to get to 28K on this 2nd Amex at Day 61

Congrats
NICE!
I like the sounds of that $1k grocery strategy and the $200 bucks reward... is that correct??
Just had my first 2 weeks of my BCE.. ran it up under 20% UTL and paid it to zero before statment.. using a higher limit card for my AZEO. But after 3xCLI I can switch to BCE which will surpass my highest CL card (BBV).
Merrick Bank Visa $1500 | Citi BestBuy Visa $5300 | Chase Freedom $500 | Amex BCE $2000
FICO8: EQ 12/17: 721 | 1/18: 706 || . TU 12/17: 742 | 1/18: 744 . || EX 12/17: 736 | 1/18: 720
Very nice starting line!
AWESOME

You can go higher than $28k. With your first CLI, they'd probably let you get $34,500 without IV.
Plenty of people with $10k SLs went to $30k with their first 3XCLI at Day 61+, myself included. That being said, with your $14k SL you can easily match that and likely exceed it. I wouldn't suggest going for $42k, but anything sub $35k should result in an instant approval.
