AMEX ED Approved 60 day CLI

My DW opened her first AMEX Oct 5 with a SL of $10k.  We were shocked as her highest limit to that point was a Cap1 QS of $2200.  Her EX score from the app was 672, which is high from the upper 500s from about 2 years prior.  She had no interest, but I was curious if she would get 60 day luv; so I asked her to log in.  I was about to click the luv button for 3x CLI at $30k and she freaked out.  "That's WAY TOO MUCH!"  I reduced it to $25k and she was nervous.  I said, "you probably won't be approved anyway, I'll reduce it to $15k if declined."  She said ok, I clicked the button and BOOM!!  Instant approval for $25k!  She jumped out of bed, walked over to her purse and came back with the card.   "Here.  I can't carry that card anymore.  That's way too much.  Don't tell me about any more credit increases."

Her data points.

She has 3 inquires in the last 18 months, the AMEX, Discover ($10.5k), and Commenity (NY&C $750).  Haven't checked her ficos, but AMEX was 672 and Discover shows her TU at 715.  In addition to the 4 cards, she has student loans, a 3 yr old auto, and we have a 10 yr old mortgage.  Look for an update in 3 more months, lol.
