AMEX Gold --changing up the stable

gold-card-metal_480x304.png

After bringing on the AMEX Bonvoy (primarily for Marriott perks),

...Took inventory of cards/spend and it made sense to phase out the AMEX BCP in lieu of the AMEX Gold.   So I'm reallocating some CL from the BCP to the Bonvoy and will eventually cancel the BCP or perhaps PC to a Magnet or everyday.

The Gold will be a welcome addition.   Dining + Groceries and possibly the go-to for airline tickets.   With the built in perks/statement credits it'll pencil out at least as good as the BCP with potentially better upside and some more valuable perks (to *me*).

It'll be  disruptor to the stable, my recent Citi CustomCash may not get many swipes going forward.  My Citi Costco may get a few more non-Costco gas swipes -ones that sometimes went on the BCP.

Re: AMEX Gold --changing up the stable

If you dine out a lot, make sure to check out the Amex Resy offer.  It has an elevated SUB along with 20% off of dining up to $250 essentially making this a free card along with the standard bonuses you get that makes it even sweeter.  This is a hard offer to beat from what I'm seeing.

Re: AMEX Gold --changing up the stable

Congrats on the approval. I was also approved for it last month. The Resy offer was too good to pass up. Especially when you consider that I am on active duty orders, so I don't have to pay the annual fee in the first year of membership. It's my new favorite card.
