I have heard from sources I trust that Amex will ship Rose Gold replacements in the future. Note that this is not directly from Amex, but someone who is usually reliable.

I remembered reading about this, so I thought I would share. I had my Rose Gold replaced within the last two months and they did in fact send me another Rose Gold card. Seems to me that after a year since it was last open for new applicants and they are still shipping Rose Gold replacements that they will continue to do so.
