I am utterly speechless!! I swear. Just this past Friday I applied on a whim after receiving an email for the PenFed Powers Cash Rewards. Instant approval 20K. PenFed has my Equifax score at 755. Of course due to this amazing forum, I read that PenFed will use the same hard pull for 90 days to apply for another product. On Saturday...I said "what the heck"! I'll apply for another card and see what happens! I call up and speak to a rep. She tells me "No..we always pull a HP for another product"! I said ok..no problem. I told the rep she could still put the app thru. All of my reports were frozen and I wasn't unfreezing Equifax. The app when into review immediately. I heard nothing for two days. I spoke to someone yesterday to get an app status and she told me that the app needed to be reviewed by a loan officer and due to COVID it could take up to 48 hours before I got an answer. In the whee hours of the morning I get a text message. It was PenFed telling me my app was approved for another 20K card!!!! All on a soft pull. I am speechless. I was staring at my phone for 5 minutes in shock. Words cannot even express how truly grateful I am. Thanks PenFed. WOWWWWWW 😀
